Obituary

Obituary for Ruth Carla Schnurr (Seegmiller)

It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of wife, Mom, Nana and great-grandmother, Ruth Schnurr (nee Seegmiller) on Friday, December 13, 2019.

She will be dearly missed by her loving husband Doug; children Heidi and Wain Arnold of Walkerton, Shawna (predeceased) and Marcel Neron of Ottawa; grandchildren Adam and Brenda Arnold, Alicia and Mark Thompson, Chantal Neron and Matt, Christopher Neron and Deanna Neron as well as great-grandchildren Tyler Thompson, Aiden and Amelia Arnold and Parker and Spencer Dufour.

Ruth was a dedicated secretary at Sacred Heart Jr. School and then Mother Teresa School, a vocation that spanned 30 years. She loved travel, reading, games of Candy Crush and Angry Birds, cheese and spending time
with her family and friends.

She is predeceased by her parents Karl and Pearl (nee Kirstine) Seegmiller, parents-in-law Harry and Olive (nee Kroetsch) Schnurr and sister Sandra Beattio.

Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday for a casual visitation from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with parish prayers at 7:30 p.m. followed by a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:45 p.m. at the Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton (1106 Yonge Street South).

A prayer service celebrating Ruth’s life will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Cameron Funeral Home, Walkerton. Fr. Leszek Sczcygiel officiating.
